The main goal of golf fitness is for individuals to move better, feel better, and hit the ball better! If you think about it the modern day tour player typically has a swing coach, fitness professional, and some kind of medical professional (Chiropractor, Physical Therapist, Massage Therapist, and etc.) on their team. Golfer’s now realize that it’s very important to move well throughout their swing, feel pain free with proper energy levels, and that hitting the ball straighter and further are the major keys to a long and successful career.
Benefits of Moving Better In Our Golf Swing......
Moving better in the golf swing will not only allow the golfer to have an increased range of motion but will also help one stay away from injuries. We all know if you’re injured it’s going to be tough to play golf.
Stability vs. Mobility
In golf we need to be able to rotate around a stable base with enough mobility to get us in the positions we want. Think for a second, if we were to try and hit a golf ball off a skateboard: Would it go shorter or longer?
The ball would obviously be a lot shorter and most likely less accurate. This is because the golfer does not have a stable base! Furthermore, it’s important for all golfers to have a strong foundation to support their range of motion in their golf swing.

Benefits of Feeling Better On The Golf Course......
Golf is a game of pressure, endurance, and mental toughness! If a golfer does everything possible to ensure a strong finish, they have physically and mentally prepared themselves to win! It could be for a major championship like The Masters, the local club championship, or a late night match for dinner. Whatever it may be, we can conclude that everyone’s goal is to feel just as good on the last hole as they did on the first one.
In order to do this golfer’s need to make sure they fuel themselves correctly through proper nutrition and hydration, but also to do as much as possible in the gym to help avoid injuries and fatigue throughout the round.

Benefits to hitting the ball better and further......
Through many years of working with golfers and the various different topics that are brought up, in reference to “Golf Fitness”, it’s easy to conclude that every buddy would like to hit the ball further and straighter. Therefore, most people would agree that it is probably a lot easier to hit a sand wedge closer to the pin, then a 7-Iron.
It’s fair to say that a golfer's goal is to be able to hit the ball in the desired direction on a consistent basis, with the most consistent impact position as possible, and far enough to play the golf course. So, if a correct golf fitness program can help you do these three things better, along with positively impacting your body. Then it seems obvious that a “golf fitness” program should be in every golfer’s weekly routine. Whether it’s a couple of exercises or multiple workouts a week!
